Full Journal pdf1995-05-07 House Journal Page 1958 SB 93 The following, which was advanced to third reading from the May 6, 1995, calendar (page 1924), was read the third time: HOUSE CS FOR CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 93(RES) "An Act relating to the disposal of state land along the Dalton Highway; and providing for an effective date." Representative Nicholia moved and asked unanimous consent that HCSCSSB93(RES) be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering Amendment No. 1. 1995-05-07 House Journal Page 1959 SB 93 Objection was heard and withdrawn. There being no further objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representative Nicholia: Page 4, after line 12, insert a new bill section to read: "* Sec. 2. AS 19.40.200 is amended by adding a new subsection to read: (e) Before the disposal of land or materials under (b) of this section, the state shall (1) consider the environmental, social, and economic consequences of the disposal on fish, game, and their habitat on rural and traditional lifestyles, and subsistence activities; and (2) institute measures that avoid or minimize the adverse consequences and enhance the beneficial consequences of the disposal on fish, game, habitat, rural and traditional lifestyles, and subsistence activities." Renumber the following bill section accordingly. Representative Nicholia moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Representative Therriault objected. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 1 be adopted?"
